Crest Bible Church is a soul winning, disciple making, leadership equipping, church planting church.
The Great Commission
Matthew 28:18-20 - And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Crest Bible Church exists to fulfill the Great Commission that Christ commanded of all Christian churches.
To accomplish this mission, Crest Bible Church is focused on being a soul winning, disciple making, leadership equipping, church planting church.
Soul winning.
The members of Crest Bible church, both individually and through a variety of ministries, take the gospel of Jesus Christ to non-believing people, so that they can hear about, believe, and put their faith in Jesus Christ.
Disciple Making.
Once someone becomes a believer, Crest Bible Church utilizes various methods, including one on one mentorship, to help that individual grow into a Bible understanding, worshiping, servant of God.
Leadership Equipping.
Disciples that desire to grow to become mentors and church ministry leaders, are provided training and real world ministry experience, to allow them to grow into church leaders.
Advanced training, including up through pastoral level, is also available to faithful members through our partnership with Living Faith Bible Institute.
Church Planting.
Occasionally God calls leaders from one local church to go to a new area to start a new church (Acts 13:2, 1:8). This is the heart of missions, and Crest Bible Church is delighted to answer when God calls one of our men to become a missionary.
Crest Bible Church also works to support existing missionaries through prayer, financial donations, and short term missions trips.
Crest Bible Church’s primary mission is to reach nearby neighborhoods, in northern Johnson County and southern Wyandotte County KS, where approximately 40,000 people live within walking distance of our church building. If you would like to help in fulfilling this mission, we would be delighted to have you!
